Delete Your Account
You can delete your Trackr account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it directly in the app, how to request deletion by email, and exactly what gets removed.
Delete in the app (fastest)
Open the Trackr app and sign in.
Tap the small circle with your initial in it, at the top left of the home screen, next to your first name.
This opens your profile and settings. This chip is the way in — there is no profile tab along the bottom.
Find the Privacy & data section.
Prefer a copy first? Tap Export my data to download a JSON file of your data.
Tap Delete account.
Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT, then tap Permanently delete.
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. There is no restore window. Your account and associated personal data are removed, subject to the legal-retention exceptions below.
If you created a household, what happens depends on who else is in it. Other people's plans and shared history hang off the household you set up, so we will not quietly delete or orphan it underneath them.
If another adult is still in your household, the app will refuse the deletion and delete nothing. You can already make another adult an admin from your family settings, but today that does not yet clear the refusal — the check still looks at who originally created the household. That is a gap on our side, not a decision about you, and we are fixing it. Until it is fixed, email privacy@healthtrackr.me and we will complete the deletion for you within 30 days. You do not have to wait for anyone else to leave, and you do not have to keep trying in the app.
If only children you manage are left in your household, deletion goes through — and it takes the household and those children's profiles with it. Their logs, plans and history are deleted along with yours. There is nobody left who could ever administer that household, so we do not leave it behind. If you want their data kept, move them to another adult's household before you delete.
Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your Trackr account does not stop billing — subscriptions are held by Apple and Google, not by us. Cancel in the App Store or Play Store before you delete, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
Delete some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to choose between keeping your account and removing data you would rather we did not hold. You can ask us to delete some or all of your data while your account stays open.
- In the app: the things your coaches remember about you can be deleted one at a time — open your profile, find Your memory, and remove any entry, which takes it out of use so your coaches stop drawing on it. Food and drink you have logged can be removed where they appear (the button reads I didn't eat this), and uploaded files can be deleted under Files.
- Lab reports and documents you have uploaded appear in Files and can be deleted there, one at a time.
- By email, for anything the app does not yet cover: chat history and progress photos do not have a delete button in the app today. Email us and we will remove them — see below. We would rather say this plainly than let a list imply a button that is not there.
- By email: write to privacy@healthtrackr.me from your account address and tell us what you want removed — a category (for example "all my progress photos" or "my uploaded lab reports") or everything. We will confirm and act within 30 days, and your account stays exactly as it is.
- Call recordings are only kept if you say so — the setting is off unless you turn it on, in your profile under Account → Notifications, in the How Ember reaches you group, labelled Call recordings. Turning it back off deletes any we still hold, straight away. Recordings we do keep are deleted within 30 days. (The Coach voice switch in your profile is a different thing — that controls whether your coach speaks aloud, not whether you are recorded.)
Removing some data may change what your coaches can do — they cannot plan around what they cannot see — but that is your call to make, and we will tell you if something you asked to delete is load-bearing.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we will verify and process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data associated with it, including:
- Your profile (name, email, date of birth, gender, height, weight)
- Dietary preferences, allergies, goals, and family member profiles you created
- Food logs, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and pantry data
- Workout, movement, sleep, and activity records
- Health and fitness data synced from Apple Health / Google Health Connect
- Chat history and AI memory associated with Ember
- Voice call recordings and transcripts
- Any health context, images, or lab reports you provided, including the stored files themselves
Feedback you sent us is kept, but is anonymised so it is no longer linked to you — it helps us fix problems for everyone else.
What we may retain
We delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days of your request. We may retain a limited amount of data only where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records) or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Such data is kept only as long as necessary and is not used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on retention and your rights.
Note on subscriptions. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription billed by Apple or Google. To stop future charges, also cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
